This year the Valentine Dance will again be held at the Hyatt Sainte Claire, 302 S. Market Street, on Saturday, February 13, 2010.
The evening will begin with no-host cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 1800 hours, followed by dinner at 1900 hours. You will be able to select from an entrée that includes a choice of beef, chicken or fish. Vegetarian and special needs selections are also available. All entrees will be prepared in the classic Italian style.
Following dinner, there will be dancing with music provided by Ron and Roberto Payne. The hotel is also offering rooms at a special rate for Friday and Saturday. Go online to the Sainte Claire Hotel

Recently, at the last few monthly meetings, we discussed the cost of this event in contrast to the number of people who supported and attended the dinner dance. While most seemed to agree that this was an important part of the PBA and should be continued, many felt that the monthly meetings satisfied their need for police camaraderie. Such a view omits consideration of those who have also been there throughout our careers: our wives and significant others. While members enjoy the monthly meetings together, the spouses do not. The Valentine Dance provides an opportunity for them to visit and catch up with longtime friends. I encourage all of you to continue to make this a vibrant celebration of our organization by attending, regardless of whether or not you have a date. People still want to connect with all of you!
Well, that settles it! I will be attending for sure!
It’s always a great time – I’ll be there, hope to see you too!

Dancing…eating…bulls#&*ing? My favorites!
Leroy,
How hard would it be to make it so we could put this on our credit card and complete the sign up on line?
Don and Diane Harris will be there. Great function, great company and of course the great stories..
Jay – Not difficult. Just have to establish an account on-line with PayPal and subscribers could pay with their PayPal account or their credit card. Maybe more practical if we had more than just one event where money changed hands. There is a charge for the service.
Leroy
Boni says we will be there. Happy New Year to you all.
we will be there! Bert can’t wait to wear his red valentine’s suit..
