Further information regarding Bob’s passing and a probable date, time and location of a service will be included in Thursday’s Farsider.

We made contact with Kim Bradshaw earlier today, the day after her father succumbed to T-cell Lymphoma which he had been battling for the pat 13 months. Kim, who is one of Brad’s three daughters, chose to follow her Dad’s career as a law enforcement officer and is now retired from the Reno Police Dept. Her sisters are Kelly who, like Kim, resides in Reno, and Debbie, a Sacramento resident. They were responsible for giving Bob five grandchildren. He lost his wife Dixie in June of 2012.

According to Kim, Bob spent 10 years as the Reno Police Chief following his 1981 retirement from the SJPD. Then in 1991 he took over the reins of the Nevada Highway Patrol for a year before finally finishing his law enforcement career as the Chief of the Concord PD, a position he held for five years.

His daughters are working on putting together an obit which we hope will be available when we publish our regular Farsider this coming Thursday. Kim said they will scheduled a service with a sufficient amount of lead time for us to get the word out for those in the San Jose area who would like to attend.

As stated, more information will be in Thursday’s Farsider.
